The one number to always compute
Every odds format is the same fact in different clothes. The fact is the implied probability: divide 1 by the decimal odds. A price of 2.50 implies 40%. The entire craft of betting compresses into one question - do you believe the true chance is higher than the number the price implies? If yes, the bet has value. If not, the format it was quoted in never mattered.
Quick reference
Decimal 2.00 = fractional 1/1 (evens) = American +100 = 50%. Decimal 1.50 = 1/2 = -200 = 66.7%. Decimal 3.00 = 2/1 = +200 = 33.3%. Bookmakers across Europe quote decimal; UK books quote fractional; US books quote American - one market, three dialects.
Comparing prices across bookmakers is where this pays - and moving money between those bookmakers is what the wallet setup is for.
